What is the difference between therapy and coaching?

The focus of therapy is processing your emotions around past events. Coaching’s main focus is on the present and the future. In coaching, we get clear on what you want and develop a vision. We examine how you are currently showing up and if that is in line with your vision. We will work to uncover and overcome the underlying issues and obstacles that are getting in your way. We then develop a detailed plan that will utilize your strengths so that you achieve your goals. Coaching is action orientated.

What does a life coach do?

A certified life coach will challenge, motivate, encourage, and support you in achieving your goals. A life coach will help you gain clarity on what you want and help you devise a plan to live the life of your dreams. Your coach will provide you with unbiased feedback and hold you accountable on your personalized journey to cultivate a life you love.

How long does coaching take?

The length of time it takes to get results from working with a coach will vary depending on an individual’s goals and needs. Personal growth takes time. Real lasting change takes time. Building a new mindset and adapting new habits takes time. Your willingness to grow & learn coupled with your effort and commitment to your personal growth process will determine how long it will take for you to achieve your desired results.
